OVERVIEW:
The Ltd. Ed. AJ-100 Acoustic Guitar shares the classic Advanced Jumbo style acoustic that's been making history for nearly a century, now built especially for new players. The Ltd. Ed. AJ-100 sets a new standard for entry-level instruments without sacrificing tone, style, or quality. The new AJ-100 is available only at Select Epiphone Dealers
The first "100" series guitar, the Epiphone DR-100 "Dreadnought" style, has been Epiphone's best-selling acoustic guitar for over a decade and is renown for its bold tone. The new AJ-100 "Advanced Jumbo" or sloped shoulder acoustic guitar is just as famous for having a slightly sweeter tone that's perfect for both leading a band and for solo singers.
The AJ-100 features a mahogany body and a select spruce top, one of the premier tonewoods for superior acoustic sound. The select spruce top is braced internally in the same style as vintage "Advanced Jumbo" guitars to give the AJ-100 its trademark up-front tone. The mahogany neck has a SlimTaper "D" profile that's easy to hold for long hours of play. The neck is glued to the body and hand-set so the entire guitar resonates as if it were a single piece of wood. The Mahogany neck has a rosewood fingerboard with a 12 in. radius and 20 Medium Jumbo frets. The bigger the frets, the easier it is on your fingers when learning to press down strings and form chords. The neck is fully adjustable via a truss rod under the traditional Epiphone & Gibson "bell-shaped" cover. The AJ-100 also has a rosewood bridge with a compensated saddle for consistent intonation.
Tuning the Ltd. Ed. AJ-100 is easy with Epiphone machine heads with a 14:1 that make learning to tune easy, intuitive, and best of all-fast and accurate.
